My family loves to come here for dinner and we consistently come back around once a month. The food is always good and Amrita is always kind and attentive. Others have commented on the slower service, however this is a family owned business with limited staff and made from scratch food. If you are looking for a quicker service, the lunch buffet is great. I have had Indian food all over Erie and Tandoori Hut is by far my favorite. We love to come here and have a relaxing dinner with good food and conversation. Our favorites are the Chicken Xacuti, Palak Paneer, and Thali Platters.

I have been here a few times to give it a chance. Here are my final impressions: Atmosphere: Absolutely miserable. They legitimately have put zero energy or money into making this anything other than the skeleton of the old diner it used to be 50 years ago. Service: Servers don’t know their own menu and are slow. Food: Buffet is pretty so so but for $18 I’d expect more. The Basmati rice is not cooked with star anise, orange peel, or any proper spices. Super bland. The Dal Mahkani is pretty great. They use green food coloring for the mint chutney. Photos attached are of the onion and bell peppers I removed from my to go order of Chicken Tikka Masala. This is not only NOT traditional for the dish, but highly offensive as they are using it to bulk up the entree. Shorting you on actual chicken by adding 6oz of bullshit vegetables is criminal! Not to mention rather than it being a tomato cream base, it was more like a standard curry. I’ll go somewhere else.

Excellent food. Authentic traditional dishes. Don’t go when you’re in a hurry. The dishes take some time to make, but worth the wait.

First off, shout to Amrita. She was the most personable wait staff I have ever had. She helped my father and I choose an appropriate spice level. The food was quick and she was patient with our requests like waiting to have the mango lassi served with our main course and the galub jamun on hold. We did choose to go with it in the end. Forgot to take a photo of it because I got too excited to try it. Overall the food was amazing and excellent portion sizes. I recommend pairing the mango lassi with the food. It's a good reset to the heat. I just wish the other patrons (a young couple) would have been quieter.

First visit. Excellent service. Everything we ordered was delicious and flavorful. Very clean dining room and bathrooms. Will return.
